KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Talons Out Honor Flight says it will be offering an all-expense-paid seat on one one of its future flights to the winner of a youth essay contest.
Dan Moyle, the vice president of the non-profit, said the winning entry will show passion and a love of history.
“There isn’t a word count and there isn’t a format, necessarilly,” Moyle said. “We want a bibliography.”
Moyle said each entry should focus on a World War II or Korean War veteran from Michigan.
“Email it to us, mail it to us, we also want them to read the eulogy of this hero on a video, so put that on a thumb drive and mail it to us, put it into a YouTube link and email it to us,” Moyle said.
The entries are due by Feb. 28th. The contest is open to middle- and high-schoolers.
Entries can be e-mailed here.
