OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s deputies have jailed a suspect wanted for assaulting residents at the Centre Apartments in Oshtemo Township during a pair of break-ins.
Dispatchers were contacted about the first assault at in the 5000 block of Croyden Avenue at around 9 p.m. Thursday. When deputies arrived, they were greeted by firefighters responding to an alarm in the same building.
Deputies used less-than-lethal force to subdue the suspect after the person, who has not been identifed, was found during the commission of the second assault.
Officers with Kalamazoo Public Safety and the Kalamazoo Township Police Department assisted.
