ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office is reporting a stolen vehicle, along with multiple cases of break-ins to others.
In the case of the stolen vehicle, police say the theft occurred on January 28 around 4 a.m. from the 23000 Block of Mintdale Rd. in Sherman Township.
The stolen vehicle is a black 2005 Volkswagen Jetta with tinted windows, black rims, and a broken fuel cap door. The vehicle may have a temporary Indiana registration of K808799.

Elsewhere in St. Joseph County, multiple vehicle larcenies are reported to have taken place in Fabius Township and the surrounding areas. Police say that there has been an increased number of these incidents.
As a result, the Sheriff’s Department is asking residents to be aware and report any suspicious people, vehicles or activity in the area.
The Sheriff’s Department is also reminding citizens that vehicles should be locked and secured when not in use. Remove any valuable items whenever possible.
