BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Battle Creek Fire Department says no one was injured in a house fire that broke out just before 7 a.m. Wednesday.
Firefighters responded to the home on Roosevelt Avenue and saw smoke coming from the roofline.
They determined the flames were in the basement, and got the fire under control within about 15 minutes.
The home suffered significant damage and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
